Ride Description: Saturday morning ride with Jeanne. First direction, up to Four Corners via Peitou, down via Cherry Hill. Then back around Veteran's Hospital, bike path, Dadaocheng Wharf and back. Stopped at Giant, bought a new saddle since mine was showing good wear and tear, and had White Dog replace back brake cables. Gee, how nice the back brakes work now. Was a nice ride with Jeanne this morning...some wild goings on just past the wharf...tons of people, fresh papaya juice with some strange things thrown in, it was quite good. (see photo) It's always nice to ride with teachers new to Taiwan because they see the good parts that my jaded eyes don't always focus on. Karen P. will hopefully be back from Space Camp so she can ride next week, and Karen J. will hopefully have her wheel repaired so she can ride as well. And one of these days soon we'll have to meet Chen Li in Tanshui so she can ride again. Oh yeah, took a small spill as I got up over the green bridge on the way home...right foot unclipped, leaned left as I was trying to get out of the way of workers on the bridge. Bit 'o road rash on knee, sore hand, sore hip, sore inside elbow.
