Back in 2001, my wife and I did a trip of a lifetime through Australia, and ended up in Tasmania, landing in Launceston. Absolutely loved the town. We drove into the Tamar River valley, did some wine tasting (your pinot noirs are exceptional), and were awestruck by the beauty of the place. Saw one rider that day, a young guy who was taking the hills like they were flat. I would have loved to have had a chance to do some riding there.

Hey I'm back to reporting my miles again. LOL! I've got a long way to go to catch you (1240 miles) but I may close the gap as your summer wanes and my summer begins. Here's my blog by the way www.epictrain.blogspot.com I hope all is well!

(I've got a 600km (375 mile) brevet this Saturday so at least I'll be 25% closer)

Just read your recent comments, you will be happy to know it is 25 here today and tomorrow. Glen and I have a big ride to Hervey Bay planned for tomorrow. A race Saturday at Maryborough and a Crit on Sunday. Just not sure if we have enough summer gear to keep us going.....
