Today I drove to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and bought some breakfast - a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with chocolate milk. I was early for the Swamp ROMP so I rode down the trail to downtown and turned back north to the cafe. The trail was very crowded with several charity runs going on. Seven of us left the Cafe - Joe, Wilson, Kitty and Brad, Ron, Art,and me. We headed up the trail to the railroad car at Furman where we picked up Kathy, Donna, and Karen. I rode along with Karen as she is the slowest and we brought up the rear. We rolled into TR and went to the Whistle Stop Cafe. Six of us ate on the veranda _ Joe, Kathy, Kitty, Brad, Wilson, and me while Art and Ron ate inside and Karen and Donna rode back to Furman to eat. I had a chicken salad on a green salal with canberries and pecans with lemonade. After talking quite a while we headed back down the trail in a splintered group. I rode with Brad and Kitty for a while, then took off to catch Kathy. We rode back into Furman together and waited for the rest of the group. Kathy left for home and I rode back down the trail with Joe. We broke up and the Cafe and I went in and bought a pair of strawberry tartsand a pint of mint chip ice cream to take home.
