One more day and it will be done!
Needing 71 miles to achieve the first 500+ mile month since September 2011 (23 months ago). I decided late to make some kind of mileage run. Only goal today was for making some miles. I first thought a ride out to Ayrault Rd and back, dropping in on Fred, would be a substantial trip. Once in Pittsford seeing the sign asking cyclists to walk the path, and then too considering how close I was to my brothers house, I turned South to head up to David's house. He was not home -though I didn't knock on his door.
Dave's yard looked well manicured, No vegetable plot though -probably putting in all his spare effort with my parents plot. I sure did appreciate his outdoor faucet water. That Pittsford aqua was good!
The 1748 feet of Altitude gain was a good effort -training for next weeks highlander. More than elevation conditioning, my sit bones have not been well conditioned riding wedgies. I felt that lack of conditioning 40 miles into the ride. Anyway, 48 miles today makes that 500+ mile monthly goal achievable. We'll see tomorrow... 22 miles more gets me there!
