Didn't feel much like riding today as legs were a bit sore and stomach was disturbed. Unfortunately the ten day forecast has frequent rain, highs in the fifties and winds in the high teens every day. One the other hand today was a warm sunny day in May and a pretty good day for a ride. Planned on riding up Old Odessa and continue climbing up Ridge Road. Legs felt okay as I hit the hill but soon found myself sitting and slowly ascending in granny +1. As I continued climbing my lunch decided it was unhappy and was seeking other opportunities. Held it down though and felt pretty warm. Checked the temperature and found it to be over one-hundred degrees. Got over the steep part but didn't upshift and just kept slowly spinning Stomach was giving me more trouble than the hill. Got to the top of the hill suffering and only had a seven point two average. Decided that further climbing was a waste of time and started to loop through Odessa with intent of descending to home. After further thought I decided on just adding a few flat miles and headed to Alpine. Stood up on a small grade and almost lost my lunch. Thought it might be better to lose it and maybe I would feel better then determined vomiting along side a busy highway was poor form and held it back. Rolled into Alpine after near an hours riding while only covering ten miles. Returned on Jackson Hill Road and started to feel a bit better. Did enjoy the two mile fast descent back to Montour. Doesn't look like I'll be doing much riding outside for the next week or so.
