Pretty much gave up on my don't ride below 50 percent body battery and replaced it today with twenty percent. It was sunny in the eighties with a light south wind so pretty much had to get out on the bike. Goal was to ride a bit shorter course than yesterday with only rolling climbs. Plan was to get the average above fifteen as usual. Had a couple miles of fairly busy highway traffic to get out of Gaffney but was soon on low traffic secondary roads for some quality riding. Rode on some of the same roads as yesterday on my way to the Cowpen Battlefield Park. Tried to keep the speed a bit higher but soon found myself doing quite a bit of coasting. Headed into the park and did a loop around it and saw my the only other cyclists I've seen down here as I passed a pair of young riders. Had to ride a bit on RT 11 with no shoulder and heavy traffic but only for a couple of miles, before I was back on secondaries. Wasn't able to get the fifteen as although legs felt better than yesterday still feel a bit hollowed out. Guess fourteen will be the new fifteen for awhile.
