Got up early and headed out of Virginia for home. Plan was to take a break and get a ride in in PA to minimize the damage from driving for ten hours or better. Got to PA and got some lunch but didn't feel much like riding so continued driving. Felt good to be home but bad that I had dodged a ride, and so after unpacking the bike took a short default ride up the valley to Millport. Caught a nice tailwind up through the valley and was putting out some decent watts. Had a nice turn around and good power on the return leg back down the valley. Ended up being my fastest ride of the year, and it was almost three miles an hour faster than the same ride last Friday. Short but sweet ride.
