Another short climbing day with hopefully some speed work back down through the slot if the wind holds true. Started off with another attempt up Old Odessa before continuing up Ridge Road through Catherine to the high point overlooking Seymoreville. First section of climbing was back to dismal as legs got tired right out of the gate. Estimate the pace would have been somewhere between eight and nine if the bridge wasn't missing. Detour doesn't really add much distance nor any significant climbing. Tried to pick the pace up on the next section of climbing to Catherine and did okay going into the wind. Had nothing left for the third section and just kept plodding along. Crested at around nine miles an hour before starting the twenty miles of downgrade. Would occasionally get good speed but wasn't able to hold and build on it. Same issue coming back down through the slot legs were on and off. Had visions of sixteens at the highpoint but had to settle for fifteens. Climbing was bit disappointing, but the course is a blast once that was over. Enjoyable ride overall but ran out of leg. Was hoping for improved climbing after some success yesterday but might take some more time and a lot of miles.
