I have been happily retired since June of 2020 (more than five and a half years). And I am realizing that time seemingly passes faster, all the while. My yard is nearly meticulously groomed. In winter, my driveway and patios are cleared of snow after every storm. The yard work takes hours to accomplish, but there is satisfaction in every minute of effort. Maybe 2025 was an anomaly, but my cycling effort was in decline. I'm going to try to redouble my effort for 2026
The rate of Snowfall in December meant snow removal activity took priority over cycling activity. Consequently, my December cycling stats look somewhat pathetic. As the excuse for December is due to other outdoor activity priorities, that excuse holds true for most of 2025. Another aspect may be an indication of age and physical decline...
