Had to take a couple days off as ride in Georgia and drive to Florida drained my body battery again. Took off a couple days without any improvement so figured would try a ride at twenty percent. Staying again in Lake City in the northern interior of Florida. It wasn't terribly warm for Florida with a north wind blowing steadily. Made a course with two thirty-mile loops and would ride one and bail if it got unpleasant. Terrain in the area is gentle rolling with grades between one and two percent through sparse residential areas and pine forests. Started out fairly well on secondary roads heading into the wind before heading westerly. Kept the speed around fifteen for the first loop through Wellborn and felt okay before committing to the second loop that ran almost all north and south. Reached my limit around forty miles again and had to start slacking off. Caught a little tailwind over the last five miles and did a little speed work. Legs finally started to put out some decent watts but not enough to get my fifteen. Wasn't happy about the slower speeds in the flatlands but was satisfied that I was able to get sixty miles in with some snap left at the end.
