I diverted from the roadway on Pine Hill Road to head south on a winding one-lane dump-truck dirt path. I wanted to see what was going on at the other end. I found a crew of workers. A bulldozer was piling up a 10-story mound of excavated earth, and an 8-wheeler dump truck was waiting for a load. Retracing my path out, I encountered another 8-wheeler heading down the one-lane path and wisely veered off the truck path to allow the truck to pass.
Touring some of the old bike commute routes from my school-bus-driving years. Today, I explored my old work commute routes and noticed significant changes in some areas of Parma over the past six years. The area is still largely agricultural, with many fields of corn and soy.
Blodgett Family Farm stand on Parma Center Road was loaded with a variety of pumpkins, other squash, vegetables, and flowers(Mums). The Salmon Creek and other creeks and brooks were flowing freely.
