I was welcomed back to NY by some cool weather and a little snow. Took three days off which I thought might help the tired legs. It appears that might have been the wrong thing to do. Headed up the valley into a south wind planning on deciding on a course and distance depending on how the legs felt. Turned out they didn't feel much at all and were mostly just limp. I was unable to develop any power nor even an easy spin. Struggled to maintain ten miles an hour and decided today would be a very short day. Got as far as Millport before doing a short climb and heading for home. Caught a tailwind back which helped a bit, as although still had little power, I was at least able to spin. Found it hard to comprehend that I was doing fifty-mile rides with significant riding climbing last week fairly effortlessly and struggled for a fifteen easy mile ride today. Not sure what is going on but find it most disturbing.
