Plan on spending the next few days in Williamsburg, VA. Saturday night was an adventure in leg cramps that caused a little bit of damage. Took yesterday off and planned on a low intensity ride today. Started the ride in Freedom Park and descended to the Cap to Cap rail trail via Brick Bat Rd. Stayed on the trail to use the bridge but left it onto Wilcox Neck Rd. Used to think this road had more climbing but didn't feel it today though it does have a bit once the road starts heading west. Kept going west on the low traffic secondary roads before descending back to the trail. Headed west to Charles City to use the rest rooms and add a couple extra miles. Returned to Brick Bat via the trail. Appears they have done some maintenance on the trail as there didn't seem to be as many tree root humps as last August. Saw a few riders on the trail but not as many as usual. Had to do some climbing up Brick Bat back to the park. Really took it easy today but turned out to be a nice ride with warm sunshine and light winds.
