With a travel day heading to Hershey PA for a metric century tomorrow, took a short ride to Millport. Pushed a slight headwind up and didn't really feel very well. Had just a mid twelve pace after the turn around hill loop in Millport and didn't have much hope for even a fifteen. Wasn't too worried though as it was a slow day by intention. Wasn't very encouraging on the other hand. As soon as I picked up the tailwind on the way home the speed went up easily and the average started ticking up fairly rapidly. Started to back off once I got the average above fifteen and the average still climbed steadily. Disappointing strength on the way up but had good smooth speed on the back nine. Wasn't sure whether to be encouraged or worried about the ride tomorrow. Last few events have been a bit disappointing.
