Drove quite a bit to a course south of Greenville starting at Fountain Inn, SC. It is my last day of riding in SC before heading to Georgia for Saturday's mountain metric. Starting to taper back the milage for the weekend as still not feeling up to snuff. This course had a few decent climbs in it and a couple of sweet descents. It started out fairly flat riding through some light industry before heading out into the country. Climbs went well as again it was more of the foothill climbs between seventy-five and two hundred feet with nothing very steep. I did get a little confused as one of the reviews said there was a bridge out that you had to dismount to cross. So I wasn't worried when I got to a road that said, "Bridge Out No Outlet." After riding a short distance I saw a closed bridge but the course turned onto another road along the river. Thought It must be another bridge that was also out, but after riding five miles, doing a couple of climbs and descents, and making a couple of more turns, I figured I wasn't going to find any closed bridge. Not sure why there was a no outlet sign as I certainly found one. Course stayed mainly in the woods so the light wind really had no influence on the ride. Legs started to get a bit worn toward the end, so was glad for the shorter distance. Got slowed down in the latter miles of the course by broken pavement on a couple of the descents. It's easy to dodge the holes going up but didn't feel like pushing the pace going down. Turned out to be my favorite of the three Spartanburg rides that I did this week.
