Another day of nice weather in Florida. Started out a bit earlier today in hopes of dealing with less wind. Headed out for a seventy mile loop around White Springs that has a Stephen Foster park along the Suwannee River. Wanted to ride a bit faster today but legs disagreed and pretty much just rode at sixteen miles an hour that appears to be my new grind it out rate. Wind was light but variable and seemed to be in my face most of the day. Spent most of the day on secondary roads with occasional short legs on FL 41. Had another highway section on CR 6 that had very little traffic. Was anxious to see whether the pop machine was still on the corner of CR 6 out in the middle of nowhere. We used to stop and refresh there years ago. I was disappointed to see that it was gone and replaced with a mean dog. The dog came out aggressively but didn't pursue which is good as didn't have much of a sprint today. Looked for animals but only saw some cows and a couple of road kill armadillos. Turned out to be a long slow ride which was okay. Last day in Florida as head north tomorrow.
