Plan A was originally was to do a century in White Springs. Unfortunately the ride was downgraded to be an unsupported club ride. Decided on riding the metric version leaving from my motel that would add ten miles giving me a decent ride. Weather report called for high winds, thunderstorms and heavy rains in the afternoon so went to plan B. Legs were still sore from yesterday's effort so decided to just spin fifty flat miles. Started out on sections of the original century course since it headed into the brisk wind. Ended up getting off the course and doing some exploring of the back roads. Tried riding on some sand roads with some success though on one road the lose sand was too deep and had to backtrack on foot for fear of falling. Turned back after a couple of hours and did some speed work on a couple of sections with the wind at my back. Didn't get rained on but the wind got fairly brutal and was almost blown off the road by a nasty crosswind. Got some decent pleasant miles in but didn't help the legs recover.
