It is getting colder nights now and wind is starting to come out of the north more. Having to wait for it to warm up now before riding. Not a very nice day as it was overcast and quite damp but got some good miles in. Headed out to Wayne with the thousand-foot climb up Mud Lake Road. Had a decent climb but sat and spun most of it. It is only steep for the first mile than climbs at a reasonable five percent for another four or five miles. The reward for the climb is a screaming decent down Sebring Hill. It is straight down and with favorable winds it is easy to coast in the mid-fifties. After the descent there are a couple of small climbs through Tyrone and up the east side of Waneta Lake. The lake section is tree lined and it is one of the roads that is oddly pleasant to ride on. It is more climbing out of Wayne and through to Dundee. I remember quite a bit of suffering on one of the climbs but am in good enough shape now to ride over comfortably as long as I don't try to mash the hill. Had another short climb over the ridge from Dundee to Lakemont then it was smooth sailing above Seneca Lake with a slight tailwind. Didn't break any records today but had a steady comfortable ride with some decent climbing thrown in.
