Have a fifty-mile road race tomorrow so made an easy day of today with a slow ride through Johnson Hollow. Met a few Bon Ton riders as I made my way to Millport. They were riding the green extended route of the Bon Ton and were on their way to a pleasant nine-hundred-foot climb starting up Cemetary Hill in Millport and continuing ever upward to Seymourville. Wished them well and would have liked to have joined them but tomorrow will be difficult enough as it is. Took my much easier climb slowly and enjoyed the day. Picked up a little headwind through the upper parts of the hollow but the warm air felt good on my face. Had a fast downhill into Watkins and passed a few more Bon Ton riders heading to Montour. Saw a few dozen riders throughout the day and I think there were two hundred and fifty Bon Ton riders enjoying the roads of the county. Most opted for the Old Odessa Hill Road as their way out of the valley and that is a beautiful climb though not nearly as challenging as Cemetary Hill.
