Started the day today with a long six-mile climb of around seventeen hundred feet up Mud Lake Rd to Tyrone. Kept a steady pace and had a decent climb and was rewarded with a screaming fifty-plus descent of Sebring Hill. Made a second ascent with a climb by the boy scout camp along Waneta Lake and actually did pretty well on it. Was surprised when I saw a rider on the first climb up SR 226 after the end of the lake heading back toward Dundee. Made an effort and caught up to the rider that turned out to be a woman from Penn Yan just returning to cycling. She was climbing fairly well but couldn't stay with me on the climb or chose not to. Encountered six or seven more riders climbing the back side of the hill as I descended. Figured it must be a touring group passing through and soon saw their support van though I couldn't read the logo on the van so don't know which group it might have been. It is getting near time for Bon Ton Roulette to pass through the area but sure it wasn't them. Had one more steep climb on a shortcut to Dundee that turned out to be a bit taxing. After that it was down to Dundee then over the ridge to SR 14 and a return along Seneca Lake. After that it was push a slight headwind home. Legs were a bit worn toward the end but still had a strong ride overall.
