Suffering from a summer cold and a skin infection from clearing some brush and ride didn't go well to boot. Started up SR 224 to Odessa that is one of my least favorite climbs as it is pretty much a mile and a half of steady seven percent grade. Not steep enough to climb out of the saddle nor shallow enough to sit and spin with effort. Got it over with and had a very poor time. I wasn't trying very hard, and it showed. Spun a moderate headwind to the Junction at a fairly slow pace hoping spirit would pick up. Got to the foot of the SR 13 climb to Sullivinville and did some math and figured I'd have to do some work to get over the top in less than an hour, which would be a fair time in the winter. Made an effort and did barely make it though I really couldn't develop a good flow and struggled with dead legs. The next twenty odd miles was mainly downhill with at least half with a good tailwind and felt a little better. Could keep fairly good speed but legs would power down if I tried to push too hard. Didn't feel much like riding today and should probably had bagged it but at least enjoyed the last half of the ride.
