Had missed a few days of riding as the Village experienced a micro wind burst of ninety miles an hour that tore trees out of the ground by their roots and knocked out the power for twenty-odd hours. Spent two or three days of cutting up trees and clearing debris. Got back on the bike today for a short ride as my new Look bike arrived today and I wanted to get home and assemble it. Had spent a good part of the day waiting to sign for its delivery. Caught a tailwind to Millport and climbed up Birch Hill Rd that is the weak sister of the Millport Hill climb I did on Monday. Birch Hill is one of the friendliest climbs in the area. It is mostly tree lined with only a couple of steep sections. Once over the top I continued onto the climb to Seymoireville as I had also done on Monday. After another pleasant descent into Odessa, I headed up Foots Hill and the along the ridge to the fast descent on CR 7 onto Skyline. The downhill doesn't look like much, but it is easy to reach speeds into the mid-fifties. Once on Skyline I descended back into Montour. Wattmeter batteries got weak, so my computer nanny didn't give much training credit. Course the has several miles of spectacular viewing of the valleys below.
