A double work commute -my first this year
There are many different types of cyclists that call themselves devotees of the genre. My niche is clearly non-competitive commuter/recreational bicycling. Persistence slogging through is my strength in pedaling a bike. A major benefit for daily biking is fitness and economy. In addition, cycling has an added allure. For me there is a tendency to daydream while biking. Biking seems like an extra good activity for nurturing my creative juices. Organizing my thoghts and planning procedural activity is part of the process too...

Very c-c-cold on this mornings ride! The glow to the east at 6AM foretells the ever earlier sunrise beckoning the coming of Spring. The ride was energetic inbound, more relaxed homebound. Expecting to do my first double work commute of the year today.

The afternoon/evening commute was a bit more challenging than the earlier commute. Wind was more a factor down and back this afternoon. In addition, precipitation on the homeward leg made for an extra slo-go.

All in all, 33+ commuter miles felt good on this first for the year "double commute". Last year I did 181 work commutes. This year I am going to try for 200 round trip work commutes.
