First metric Century this year. A great ride with RBC bikers! we did the 51 mile "Bogs of Barre" ride with Wayne -"super brevet rider", Barbara -"avid Tri-athlete", Jerry "consummate recumbent cyclist", and Jeremy -Jamis biker/RGH employee. Everyone was over 50 Y/O.
I added mileage from my home to Northhampton Park, and some additional towpath and a loop on the way home via Sweden-Walker, Ridge, and Hinkleyville Roads, bumping up my ride to 100 Kilometers.
30 miles in, and Wayne took off for a Churchville ride rendezvous, the rest of us settled in for a 13.5mph average pace. Definitely my upper limit for the average speed.
Along the way, we had interesting conversation and a comfort stop in Clarendon. Nice water falls photo op in Clarendon too.
