 Transcendental experience
A scheduled dental appointment;
Michelle at Cellura House of Dental is the absolute best hygienist!

After a short 4 mile ride, with favorable crosswinds and sunshine in my face, I arrive at the dental office. Secure the Globe to a steel gate and enter the office waiting room. Michelle greets me and invites me back to her work area.

Making myself comfortable in the dental chair, is as easy as Michelle's smile. The bike ride puts me in a right mind frame for the oral assault. Taking 4 ibuprofen and using the meditation technique of "imagining a downhill bike ride", I close my eyes.

The examination lamp becomes the sun as I fly along a mild down hill grade... She works on my mouth with exotic ultrasonic dental tools, and then sandblasts my smile to near perfection. Blissfully floating along, only an occasional wince from the onslaught. Oblivious to the subliminal blaster spray of baking soda, splattering, the sound of the suction tube mouthpiece, suctioning excess and overflow. Flying down a rural back-road,...blissful tailwinds,...sun in my face...

An hour later I am back on the road for real, heading for home, appointment card in hand for another time just three months hence. The cycle continues...

After dinner this evening I popped another couple of Ibuprofen (7 pills over 12 hours), mouth's a little sore yet!
