Felt pretty bummed out after yesterday's cold soaking, but figured I'd give riding a shot. Thought I'd push the first six miles of the ride that was all climb, since I didn't do much climbing yesterday, then just chill out for the remainder of the ride. Legs had another idea, and I could put out neither spin nor power on the climb. Legs were just too slow and too heavy. Ended lumbering up Jackson Hill then continued slowly to the peak of the ride above Seymoreville. Had a really poor result over the top, but surprisingly the legs felt better on the downhill even into the wind. Kept a fairly decent pace to Horseheads, and thought I might be able to salvage the ride with a spirited run with a tailwind to Montour. Actually had a fairly fast steady pace, but it was not enough to overcome the poor climbing and finished off with a lowly sixteen average. Burned some calories today and that was it.
