Beautiful Day with a very light north wind for my third loop of Seneca Lake this year. Legs felt really good for the most part today. Had a fair first climb out of Watkins then settled into a groove and the miles rolled by. Climbed well on the small climbs to Geneva and made it into town with an eighteen four average. Thought I would have a overall fast ride if I caught a good tailwind on the return on the east side of the lake, but it wasn't to be. Wind shifted to the west and became a non-factor. Shedded speed on the long climb to Lodi as the legs became more stingy with power. Caught a fair tailwind after the next climb out of Valois but after seventy miles I was just interested in finishing off the ride. Lost another chunk of time going through Watkins and finished over seventeen which is a respectable time for me. Saw three other solo road riders today but all were going the opposite direction from me.
