Continued the mostly climbing routine though really only achieved my one-hundred feet of climbing per mile for the first forty-five miles of the ride. Started out up Old Odessa and Lower Foots hill same as yesterday but headed to the east today for some different climbs. Continued from the top of Lower Foots Hill to Upper Foots Hill then descended on the dirt section back to Lower Foots and returned to Odessa before heading up New Town Road. The climb up New Town Road is very challenging but is hampered by the back side of the hill not being paved. It wouldn't be a bad if it were in good shape but is full of potholes, loose gravel and chunker sized rocks. I think I went slower and expended more energy on the downhill side that I had on the climbing half. New Town Road dumped me out on SR 79 west of Mecklenburg and had to do a few smaller climbs on SR 79 to get to Enfield to access my next major climb. Don't know the name of the next climb but it might be the Trumbles Corners Road as that where it comes out. Wasn't really a very tough climb but hadn't done it before but have descended it a few times. Finished off the climbing with a small climb on Sebring Road. Thought about heading to Newfield for an additional climb up through Arnot Forest but as opposed to yesterday where I finished in good shape today my legs were getting a bit heavy. So dropped down to SR 13 and headed back to Alpine and descended on Jackson Hill Road. So ended up with forty-five miles of decent climbing and another ten miles of flats and downhill. Climbed well again today. Didn't set any records but kept moving forwards.
