Another windy day and a bit cooler to boot. Another day of climbing into the wind and hopefully catching a tailwind home. Fairly decent ride up Jackson Hill with one of my better times with an 11.3 average to Catherine. Had a short section of tailwind which switched to a cross over the top. The second half of the climb to Seymourville was dead into the wind and lost a little speed but still crested at 10.1 which is average. Worked the downhill fairly well into the wind. The road surface going south is abysmal. Had to stop and get a bee out of my helmet again. Wish they would change the design so the air cooling slots didn't double as bee scoops. Ride back wasn't bad though the wind was swirling in all directions though fortunately they were mostly crosswinds. I would sail along in the upper twenties then slam into a wind wall that dropped my speed into the teens. Ended up with a decent seventeen average which wasn't too bad for the wind conditions.
